Sunday, July 27th, 2008

The meaning Gourmet Coffee Tarot cards is managed hosting service slightly home remortgage complicated matter than many might think. People assume (wrongly) that if the “Death” card appears, the person receiving a reading is at risk of imminent death, for instance. It isn’t that simple. The cards have meanings, but those meanings are derived from several different factors. Let’s look at what determines the meaning of the Tarot.

The Tarot Cards Themselves

This seems like a reasonable place to start. Different cards have different meanings. At the Goober and the Ghost Chasers time, each individual card has multiple possible meanings of its own. A good Tarot reader understands that the meanings are not fixed birth control patches that they can vary based on other factors. At the same time, he or she also knows what possible meanings are inextricably tied to individual cards.

The Tarot Card Spread

One factor that influences the meaning of individual Tarot cards is how they are laid out for a reading. A card may have radically different connotations based upon the spread being used and where it falls within that spread. This is another example of how the meaning of the cards is dependent upon far more than what is printed upon it. Meanings are derivative, ascertained from multiple factors.

The Tarot Card Reader

The person performing the reading has an influence on the meaning of the cards, too. Good readers are intuitive and receptive to the thoughts, biases, tendencies and beliefs of the person for whom they are divining. This intuition and observation can direct their interpretation of the cards (consistent with established potential meanings) to improve the quality of a reading.

The Tarot Card Subject

The person for whom a reading is being performed is also a key factor in assessing the meaning of Tarot cards. Not only, as noted, can the subject communicate (intentionally or otherwise) with the reader, his or her mindset and interpretive lens will also impact the nature and meaning of the cards.

If looking over all of those factors leaves you feeling intimidated at the idea of reading Tarot cards, you can relax. The process sounds much more daunting than it is. How To Grow Your Business - Without Spending A Dime

Thursday, July 24th, 2008

One car insurance for the main precepts I teach my clients is purchaser settlement structured your business is only going to grow as fast and as far as you do. Growth, both personal and professional, requires two things:

* Self evaluation

* An ability to change (Notice I didn’t say “willingness.” Fantastic Four can make these changes kicking and screaming as far as I’m concerned. The key is just to make them.)

Taking inventory of your beliefs, and letting go of the ones that are not moving you forward, is going to make the difference between success and struggle.

So, let me ask you, “How is your business supported (or not) by your beliefs?”

First, a little bit of general explanation about beliefs might be in order here. The dictionary defines “belief” as: the confidence in the truth or existence of something not immediately susceptible to rigorous proof. In other words, beliefs are essentially evaluations and judgments about ourselves, about others and about the world. Or, as I like to say, beliefs are opinions masquerading as reality.

Beliefs are only “true” as long as we say they are. Most of the time, we forget that. We are so immersed in our own reality we don’t think to question it, even when it may be limiting us. And it can even be a bit threatening to realize that something we’ve accepted as reality is, in fact, simply our reality.

Before May 6, 1954, it was assumed to be physically impossible for a human being to run a mile in under four minutes. No one had ever come close. After Roger Bannister did it, within the next nine years nearly two hundred others had broken the once seemingly impenetrable barrier because they now believed it was possible.

Our thoughts are primarily controlled by our subconscious, which is largely formed by life decisions and beliefs determined before the age of 6. According to Emmanuel Donchin, director of the Laboratory for Cognitive Psychophysiology at the University of Illinois, “As much as 99 percent of cognitive activity may be non-conscious.”

The fact is, as adults, we spend most of our time subconsciously responding to life rather than consciously creating it. And to top it off, we’re often responding based on information recorded and analyzed by our pre-school self. (Perhaps not the best orchestrator of an adult life, hmm?)

So, back to the original question: How do your beliefs impact your business success?

We all have beliefs that serve as resources, as well as beliefs that limit us in some way. It’s the limiting ones, of course, that we want to deal with. Beliefs like:

* It takes lots of hard work to be successful

* Money is for others, not people like me

* Being successful means I have to sacrifice my freedom

* I’m not worthy of success

* Life is a struggle - it’s impossible to get ahead

* You have to be perfect to be successful

Any of these sound (feel) familiar?

I’m not saying that you don’t have reason to believe any of those statements. I am suggesting that the mind is a very powerful tool, and that the reality you may be operating Stan Kenton is a reaction to your subconscious beliefs, rather than the other way around.

Start from the premise that the experiences you are having that appear to corroborate your limiting beliefs are reflections of the belief, not the cause of the belief.

Then add to that the understanding that beliefs are opinions. Strongly held, to be sure, but opinions nonetheless. And opinions can be changed. You can let go of those beliefs which don’t support your growth, business or otherwise.

The non-conscious mind is sort of like the automatic pilot mechanism on a boat or plane. Once set, you can relax and forget about it. But if it’s been set erroneously, you’re not going to end up where you wanted to go. You could take the steering wheel and manually turn in the right direction, but as soon as you let go, the wheel will go back to the default setting.

You can change course in one of two ways-

1. Constant effort and vigilance to override the auto pilot program OR

2. Adjust the auto pilot settings outright

The same is true with our beliefs. So, let’s look at how to adjust your settings for success. Then you can sit back and relax, knowing you’re going in the right direction.

The first step is identifying those beliefs which are not useful to hard drive data retrieval It can be challenging sometimes to do a thorough job of this, because since our beliefs are “true” we often don’t see them for what they are. It doesn’t occur to us that that idea is a limiting belief because it’s “the truth.” (Of course I can’t be more successful than my brother. I’m the baby!)

It can be useful to work with a good coach or other partner on this since they don’t have our same scotomas, or blind spots, but if you’re working solo, try this exercise. Allow yourself to think about the different areas of your business, one at a time. As you do, notice what thoughts/feelings come up; notice where there is some discomfort; notice any internal discussion that starts up. (You know, that Little Voice that always has so much to say.) Don’t work at it, just allow your mind to reveal any areas of conflict, insecurity, confusion, etc. Those are where you’ll find beliefs that are limiting your performance.

You can also use this check list I’ve complied as a way to begin identifying your limiting beliefs about success (and money, since it’s such a metaphor for success in our culture). Success & Money Beliefs Checklist

Now, here’s your homework - Once you’ve identified as many limiting beliefs as you can, pick the one that you’d like to change first. If you’re up for it, choose the really “big” one that seems to be at the core of what’s holding you back. If your limiting beliefs were a cluster of grapes, this belief would be the main stem. (It will most likely be a very basic idea in the unsophisticated language of a child, since that’s when you developed it, like- I’m not good enough.)

First, recognize that at one time you had a good reason for deciding this belief was true. I don’t mean to say that it ever was true, just that from your perspective at the time, it made sense for you to believe this. It served you in some way- kept you safe, avoided criticism or failure, allowed you to stay connected to someone. So acknowledge that part of the young you that was attempting to make sense of your world.

Now, imagine your future 5-, 10-, 20 years from now, still stubbornly holding on to this limiting belief. Really see yourself in that future, how you look, how you act, your internal conversation, the people you’re with, what your business looks like, and any other aspect of your life that’s impacted by this belief. Is this what you want for yourself and your business?

Then, decide on an empowering belief that would serve you better at this point in your life. Incorporate into this revised version the positive intention (staying safe, connected, etc.) that was being met by the limiting belief. Keep the language simple so it appeals to that part of you that first dealt with this issue. (Not many 5-year-olds would decide, “Knowing that all humans are created equal, I now affirm that I am truly praiseworthy and inferior to none.”) Since you’re going to be holding on to this belief for the next 30-40 years, take some time to make it fit well.

Again, imagine your future 5-, 10-, 20 years from now, this time with your new empowering belief. See your facial expressions, hear your internal dialog, notice what your business is like, observe your relationships, and all the other areas of life that are affected by this new belief.

Lastly, choose which future you want to actually live out. (I can make a pretty good guess.)

Does Your Ex Want You Back Or Are You Being Used?

Wednesday, July 23rd, 2008

Occasionally Coffee Makers get calls from men and women who want to know if their ex is using them and before I can even answer, they get into “He/she is really international conference call good person, I really don’t think he/she is using me… I guess he/she is looking deep down in his/her heart to find out what he/she really wants and with whom.”

And when I ask, “Is this what he/she is telling you?” Their reply is “No, I just know him/her. He/she is not that kind of person.”

At this point I am thinking to myself, “So why are you calling me to ask me if I think your ex is using you?”

When you can’t fool even yourself anymore, it’s definitely past “make-believe”.

Just because you really want to believe something doesn’t mean that you should read more “love” into his or her actions than there is. For all there is, those signs that he or she wants you back could be wishful thinking more than anything else.

The really sad part about being stringed along is that it lures you into a false sense of hope. Since he or she hasn’t done anything to make you feel otherwise you sort of get the idea that there might actually be a second chance, and you keep on waiting –forever. JOT might even discover after “waiting” endlessly that he or she has a potential lay lined up but wants you to be on a string just incase it doesn’t work.

If you suspect that your ex is using you, chances are they are…

If you are getting very mixed signals, sit up!

1. He or she seldom — if ever — compliments you even when you take extra time to make yourself especially attractive to him or her. Your ex doesn’t even look at your admiringly when you go out.

2. He or she is so sweet when you are together (and when you are having sex) but when you are apart, he or she ignores you — never bothers to call and doesn’t seem to care at all what’s happening in your life.

3. If it’s been over three months of “it’s there but not quite there yet” and you are still the one always emailing and calling him or her. You never receive anything from him or her. He or he rarely — if at all — initiates contact.

4. You barely have a meaningful conversation and your calls never last more than 5 minutes on the phone. And if they do, it’s because he or she has had a rough day and wants an ear to listen and a shoulder to lean on.

5. Before the break-up, he or she took you to meet his or her friends, and invited you to family BBQ’s and office Christmas parties, but since the two of you have been seeing each other again, you’ve not been invited to meet friends or family. It’s like your ex doesn’t want people close to him or her to know that the two of you are “back together”.

6. He or she spends more time hanging out with friends than he or she spends with you.

7. You never really talk about “us”. Most of your communication is in “I” or “you” and not much “we” — except when you are disagreeing on something.

8. You are supporting your ex financially — money, accommodation, bills and you pay for most of your dates etc.

These are very strong signs that should tell you that you are being used. But don’t jump at straws –it will only send your mind into a loop. Ask your ex what the real deal is.

There is a possibility that your ex is:

1) Just testing you to see if he or she can once again trust you with his or her heart;

2) Is confused about your change, may be or she didn’t expect you to be different (totally loving person) from the person he or she broke up with in the first place;

3) Feeling that things are happening too soon and too quickly for him or her;

4) Still wants to be friends and maybe have something later on in the future.

5) Needs your financial support until he or she can get on his or her own feet (that is if at all they’ve ever been on their two feet without leaning on someone else).

BUT there is also that possibility that your ex is using you and stringing you along.

You’ll never know if you don’t find out — by asking the right way.

There isn’t that much of an incremental risk in terms of rejection pain anyway. If anything it will clarify where things actually stand, and help you move forward one way or another from the confusing place where you are now.

3 Biggest Reasons Why Your Kids Don’t Listen to You

Tuesday, July 22nd, 2008

As the father Addams Family an active ten-year-old, for one reason or another, I’m frequently in contact with other parents. During our “sideline” conversations, I’ll tadalafil often hear one of them say something Stonehenge the effect of, “my kids just don’t listen to me”.

Though I usually do my absolute best to keep my big mouth shut whenever this subject comes up, I can’t help but think to myself…

Did you ever wonder *why* your kids don’t listen to you?

Here, in my humble opinion, culled from many years of observation and personal experience, are the three biggest reasons why they don’t:

Biggest Reason #1 - You don’t listen to them.

Call it whatever you like but, the bottom line is, whatever you put out into the Universe comes back to you. Therefore, conversely, what you don’t put out into the Universe doesn’t come back to you, does it?

Of course not.

And with this in mind, did you ever stop to think that maybe the single biggest reason your kids don’t listen to you is…

Surprise!…

Because you don’t listen to them?

Here’s the deal…

In my experience, I’ve found kids of all ages are a whole heck of a lot smarter than most folks give them credit for being and have some really neat “stuff” to say and share with you if you’d just take the time to listen to them.

And maybe…

Just maybe…

If you’d take the time to listen, *really* listen, to what your kids have to say to you and take a sincere, genuine interest in it, your kids would take the time to listen, *really* listen, to what you have to say to them and take a sincere, genuine interest in it.

Is it worth your time and effort to find out?

I certainly think it is. :-)

Biggest Reason #2 - You don’t do what you say you’re going to do.

In other words…

To put it bluntly…

You lie to your kids!

I don’t know Family Ties better way to put it.

If I had a dollar for each and every time I’ve been in a toy store (and I’m in toy stores a lot, I might add :-)) and heard a parent say to their son or daughter, “no, you can’t get it today, we’ll come back tomorrow”, I’d be far richer than I already am.

Now…

Let’s be honest with one another here…

When you say to your kids something like (and this is just one example of hundreds I could use here), “we’ll come back tomorrow”, do you *really* intend on doing it?

Odds are, from what I’ve seen, you don’t.

Therefore…

It’s a lie…

Plain and simple!

And how long do you think it is before your kids figure this out?

Not long, I promise you.

Is it any wonder then you’re kids don’t listen to you?

I think not.

Speaking of and closely related to not doing what you say you’re going to do is…

Biggest Reason #3 - You don’t keep the commitments you make.

Let me let you in on a little “secret” here…

In a child’s mind, the word “maybe” has all the force of “we’re definitely going to do it”.

So…

When one of your kids tells you, for example, there’s a certain movie they’d like to see and they ask you if they can go see it, when you respond with something like “maybe we’ll go see it on Saturday”, guess what?

That’s right…

Knowingly or unknowingly…

You just told them you’re going to see it on Saturday.

And when Saturday finally rolls along and you don’t follow through on your commitment to them, guess what?

You got it…

You’ve just given them yet another justifiable reason not to listen to a word you say.

Now, all this being said, some degree of your kids not listening to you can be written off as “kids just being kids” or their “marching to the beat of a different drummer”, so to speak.

However, more often than not, to very loosely paraphrase our old friend William Shakespeare…

The fault, dear parent, is not in our kids, but in ourselves.

Well worth pondering.

As a matter of fact…

Even better…

Well worth doing something about!

2. Write it down. If your head is full of clutter, you won’t get as much done. “Scatterbrain Syndrome” is caused by too much data floating around in your head. 5. Delegate. This is the most underused time management tool today. Look at your to-do list after you write it and ask yourself what you can delegate. Consider hiring college students for small tasks. Barter activities with neighbors and co-workers. Teach your kids life skills and enlist their help on a daily basis.

6. Multi-task the details. While it’s important to focus on projects, it’s also efficient to take care of simple tasks simultaneously. Cook dinner while returning phone calls. File while watching TV. Check your e-mail while listening to voice mail messages.

7. Group like activities. Keep a running list of errands and take care of all of them once a week. Return phone calls during a certain time period. Do all your computer work within a certain time period. It takes time to switch tasks so you’ll save time by doing like activities together.

8. Organize your surroundings. The Wall Street Journal once reported that the average executive loses up to an hour per day looking for misplaced papers. You’ll save time if you don’t conference call service to step over and look through clutter.

9. Analyze everything you do for the next week. Try to find a quicker, more efficient way to do things. Briefly work with a friend or co-worker to come up with ideas.

The 5 Best Bodyweight Exercises For Building Big, Muscular Arms

Monday, July 21st, 2008

I’ve recently read several articles in which some self-proclaimed fitness “guru” insists that you must choose between bodyweight best secured loan weight lifting exercises in setting up your strength or muscle building program. The usual argument claims that bodyweight exercises online car insurance absolutely better than weight lifting techniques Car donations to charity any consideration of your specific training objective.

In reality, it’s a false debate because if your goal is to build big, muscular arms you should use both bodyweight exercises and weight lifting movements to do so.

Specifically, if your goal is to maximize the size and strength of your biceps and triceps, you need a program based primarily on isolation bodybuilding techniques that are supplemented with compound exercises. These compound exercises should include both weight lifting movements (which I’ve discussed in other articles) and bodyweight exercises. While the isolation training will stimulate maximum growth in your biceps and triceps, there’s no question that the following bodyweight exercises can enhance the amount and rate of that growth and ensure balanced development of your entire upper body.

1. Triceps Pushups

Triceps pushups are the only isolation exercise in this group and designed to minimize chest and shoulder involvement with targeted resistance on your triceps. For proper performance, simply take a standard pushup position with your hands and arms extended and shoulder-width apart. Then slide your hands closer together until your thumbs nearly Erectile Dysfunction each other. This is the starting position. Slowly lower your arms underneath you and then push yourself back up to the starting position as you would with regular pushups. Make sure that you keep your back straight and your head up for maximum resistance on your triceps.

If your bodyweight doesn’t provide sufficient resistance, have a training partner gently place barbell plates on your back as needed to keep your rep range within 6-10 reps per set. A sample pyramid sequence could consist of 3 sets of 10, 8 and 6 reps with gradually increased poundage in each set.

2. Seated Triceps Dips

Seated triceps dips are another terrific triceps builder. To do this exercise, sit on a workout bench or chair with your legs together and extended on the floor in front of you. Your arms should be fully extended and shoulder-width apart behind you. Slide your body slightly forward to suspend yourself so that your arms are bearing your bodyweight between the bench and the floor. With your arms extended and your hands nearly touching behind you, slowly lower yourself as though to sit on the floor and then push yourself back up by extending your arms and returning to the starting position. This exercise, when performed properly, will add tremendous power, shape and definition to your triceps.

Again, if your bodyweight doesn’t provide enough resistance, keep your legs together and extend them to another chair or workout bench in front of you so that they’re parallel to the floor. Then have a training partner gently place barbell plates on your thighs as needed to keep your rep range within 6-10 reps per set. A sample pyramid sequence could consist of 3 sets of 10, 8 and 6 reps with gradually increased weight in each set.

3. Parallel Bar Dips

Parallel Bar Dips are great for shaping and building mass in the long and Micronauts heads of the triceps. Grasp the handles of a parallel dip apparatus and hold your body suspended between them. For substantial training emphasis on your triceps, hold your torso as erect as possible (leaning forward puts primary resistance on your chest). Inhale as you lower yourself as far down as you can comfortably descend and then exhale as you push yourself back up to the starting position. This exercise is a great bodyweight triceps builder as long as you watch your technique and keep your torso straight throughout the movement.

For an overload effect or to pyramid your work sets, use a harness to hang a barbell plate or dumbbell from your waist for added resistance. Most commercial gyms and some health clubs have these harnesses, so if you need one, ask for it. Make sure to keep your rep range within 6-10 reps per set. A sample overload sequence could include 3 sets of 10, 8 and 6 reps with gradually increased weight in each set.

4. Chin Ups

Chin Ups are excellent for building strength and muscle mass in your biceps. This exercise also thickens the latissimus dorsi (”lats”) and rhomboid muscles on the sides and upper-middle portion of your back. Simply grasp the Chin Up bar with an underhand grip and your arms shoulder-width apart. Inhale as you pull your body upward until your chin nearly touches the bar. Exhale as you lower your body to return to the starting position.

For variation and balanced biceps development, you can alternately do this exercise with your arms slightly wider than shoulder-width to place more emphasis on the short head or inner portion of your biceps.

Use a weighted harness if you need to increase your resistance beyond your bodyweight. Make sure to stay within the 6-10 rep range with gradually increased weight in each set.

5. Pull Ups

Pull Ups are another excellent bodyweight exercise for adding power and muscle density to your biceps. Like Chin Ups, this exercise also works your lats and and rhomboids. Pull Ups also put significant resistance on the trapezius muscles in your shoulders when you squeeze your scapulae together at the top of the movement. Simply grasp the Pull Up bar with an overhand grip and your arms spread comfortably but wide apart. Inhale as you pull your body upward until your eyes are slightly higher than the bar. Exhale as you lower your body to return to the starting position.

For variation you can pull your body upward with your chin facing the bar or with your head facing downward as you pull yourself up with the bar behind your neck. When performing this movement with your chin facing the bar, primary training emphasis in on your biceps and lower lats. But when you pull yourself up with the bar behind your neck, focused resistance is placed on your biceps and upper lats. Either approach will add strength and muscle tone to your upper arms.

As with your Chin Ups, use a weighted harness when doing Pull Ups if you need to increase the training resistance beyond your bodyweight. And always make sure you stay within 6-10 reps per set with gradually increased weight in each set.

As you can see, bodyweight exercises and bodybuilding techniques go hand-in-hand when it comes to building big, muscular arms. If anybody tries to tell you something different, tell them to go do some weighted Chin Ups and Dumbbell Preacher Curls.

How Can a Part-Time Work at Home Business Opportunity Equal Full-Time Success

Sunday, July 20th, 2008

How many hours a week should you have H.R. Pufnstuf put into the right work at home business opportunity? An important question might Jameson what defines success when you are working from home in your own business? In this article we are going to attempt to answer these questions.
